10 Favorite Campsites in Florida

With school starting soon, most families are scrambling to enjoy the outdoors and to ensure they make the most of their summer.

 

While everyone else is hitting the beach or kayaking, one thing you can do for your family is spend the weekend outdoors at one of your local parks’ camping grounds. The cool nights and warm days make this one of the best times of year to go camping.

 

After doing a quick search of some of the local camping sites in the area, I found that many sites offer large log cabins that fit 4-8 people, while others offer plots to set up tents or campers. The prices vary by location and depending on the style of camping (such as by tent or cabin), but most rates don’t exceed $50 a night.

While this is one of the best times to go camping in most areas, if you live in Florida like I do, then you will want to ensure that you are ready for any changes in the weather. Essentially, if you do go the traditional camping route and decide not to go with a cabin, you will want to prepare for rainstorms.
