Personal Water Filtration

Whether you’re going on a long camping trip or preparing for a natural disaster, water is going to be one of, if not the first priority on your list. However, if you’re going on an extended trip or planning for a long term disaster, a few gallons of water isn’t going to be enough to sustain you for long.

In 2006, Lifestraw was launched. Lifestraw is a portable water filtration system that filers water as you drink it. Over the lifetime of the product, it can filter 264 gallons (or 1000 liters) of water. This device has helped countless people who do not have access to clean water.

If you can’t see yourself using this on a camping trip, you may want to at least consider adding it to your family’s emergency supply pack.

Do you have any techniques for filtering water?

Until next time!
